well usually when we update it will definitely fail, why? because it's still in Live-Cd.
okay then how do you complete it?

First open the terminal, and type:

• root@kali:~ # cd /etc

typing :

• root@kali:/etc # cd apt

typing :

• root@kali:/etc/apt # leafpad sources.list

the default sources.list will appear "something like this.

well for that to REMOVE all and copy with this:

deb https://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib

# deb-src https://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib

After that, just "SAVE""Return to the terminal and type:

• root@kali:~# apt-get update
